Rallying For A Cure

Thanks to all who attended the 2015 event. After a well deserved rest, our organisers will be working on the 2016 event. Some interesting photos provided by Colin Turner are posted on our Facebook page. We thank several other participants for their pictures - feel free to post any you think would be appropriate. Thanks also to "Sunbeamowner" for posting a video of the cars and giving us permission to post it here. You can watch it on YouTube or below.

Congratulations to all those winners of the various categories. The awards are listed below:

A free sausage sizzle was available at the starting points from 7am (city), 7:15 (Stud Park) and 7:30 (Hastings). Cars weree flagged off at 9.15-9:30am for the run to the Mornington Racecourse. The racecourse opened to the public from 10am-4pm. Food and wine wiere available there, along with lots of other attractions. Adult (public) entry to the racecourse was $10; children under 14 years are free. Entry fees are donated to Peter Mac.

in 2015 we achieved an excellent display of almost 1000 vehicles at Mornington Racecourse, on a perfect summerís day. The start at the 1909 Renault - click to enlarge Westernport Marina at Hastings was certainly more popular this time around. For this yearís event, thanks are due to the Mornington Penninsula News Group for providing valuable publicity for the Rally. We were able to donate $70,000 to Peter Mac this year; well above the $60,000 donated in 2014.

As a part of the promotion for the event, we were able to run a competition for a ride in an early Vintage Ventura bus (Charabanc) to Ventura Coach the Mornington display area. The competition was over-subscribed and some consolation prizes were given to those who didnít quite make it to the actual bus ride.
